Case Mamjia Pakoro

Suddenly I got a message: “Have you’ve read this article? He was right at all times about that there was lot (dark/obscrube….) kept in/

I didn’t. How could that have happened with all those Google Alerts on all those keywords? Anyhow, I started reading. Instantly I got [….] into the rabbit hole.

Early in the morning I fininished reading all ~40 articles that author wrote. I was impressed about his research and information he brought forward.

He also made a link to another blog I’ve discovered a while ago via Facebook. That author also wrote and published some research about deeply compartimenalized ….. nuclear …

Why was Suriname so important for the military of the USA?

Let’s take a dive into the recent history starting at 1939.

Nuclear Weapons on “Dutch soil”

Until 1975 Suriname was a colony of the Netherlands.

So if we want to learn about possible Nuclear Weapons in Suriname we need to dive into the Dutch archives.

On this website I’ve found 20 PDF files. Let’s start with those files.

But wait, I though there was a cow farm down there?

A farm in the lands of the Tirios, Sipaliwini savannah?

Translation of the Dutch article: News from Suriname

During a short ceremony in the office of the Minister of Agriculture, Animal Husbandry and Fisheries, H. S. Nadhakishun, an agreement was signed for the establishment of an extensive cattle ranching operation on the Sipaliwini Savannah. The agreement was concluded between Suriname and the American Curtis O. Meyers.

On behalf of the country, it was signed by Minister H. S. Radhakishun. Under the agreement, Suriname commits to cede an area of approximately five thousand hectares in the Sipaliwini Savannah, belonging to the national domain, to Mr. Meyers.

Mr. Meyers commits to personally use this area to establish, at his own expense, an extensive cattle ranch, in order to contribute in this way to the supply of beef for the Surinamese market.

In June 1965, at the Ministry of General Affairs, an agreement was signed between Suriname and the International Standard Electric of New York Ltd., a subsidiary of the International Telephone and Telegraph Corporation (I.T.T.), regarding the expansion and modernization of the telecommunications network in Suriname.

This expansion and modernization plan, to be carried out for 5,500,000 dollars, includes, among other things, the replacement of the telephone exchange with a capacity of seven thousand numbers (the current capacity is five thousand) and the establishment of an exchange in the southern city district with two thousand connection possibilities, thereby increasing the total capacity in the capital by four thousand numbers; the construction of several exchanges in the districts, each with a capacity of one hundred numbers; the expansion of the existing exchange in La Vigilantia with also one hundred numbers; and the construction of an automatic telephone exchange in Para.

Mr. Meyers also commits, no later than 31 December 1967, to transport at his own expense one hundred cattle in good condition, originating from a cross of Brahman, Santa Gertrudis, and Creole breeds, by airplane to the Sipaliwini Savannah.

Geological research
The Geological Mining Service will, in the Tapahony area, use dynamite to create so-called prospecting trenches to determine the quality of the occurring ores, including manganese. The research is led by Drs. A. Bijwaard.

In the Saramacca district, research into the occurrence of copper will continue and be intensified. Two diamond core drills will be used for this purpose.

So let’s list some facts:

  • Something was happening in the Sipaliwini Savanna. There still must exist a contract between the Surinamese goverment and the American Curtis O. Meyers who owns 5000 hectare (50 km²) in the Sipaliwini-savanna.
  • Lot’s of improvements and modernizations were made on the telephone network in Suriname.
  • Mr. Meyers was (about to) transporting goods and animals to the Sipaliwini savanna.
  • In many districts geoligical prospects toke place. Somebody was working with with lots of dynamite and did quite some drilling.

It seems like that for the Americans this cover-story, why (many) planes would fly in-and-out the area, would be sufficient.
