The initiative was led by the Wageningen branch of the Surinamese Students Association (SSV). Seven organizations participated, creating a coordinating body called LOSON to represent Surinamese interests and coordinate actions.

Significance: This marked the beginning of a structured movement to align Surinamese organizations in the Netherlands under a unified political and ideological banner.
